18 Days Events

NAWARA and its partners are organizing 18 different events throughout 2021 to commemorate the tenth anniversary of the 2010/11 revolutions in North Africa West Asia (NAWA).

Why 18 days of events? In January 2011, Egyptians occupied Tahrir Square and other locations throughout the country for 18 days before Mubarak fell. They chanted for bread, freedom and social justice. They organized social and political committees, created art, and shouted their dreams aloud.

18 days of discussions, movies, workshops, and writings:

١٨ فاعلية يقوم بتنظيمها رابطة نوٌارة وشركائها من الأفراد والمنظمات خلال عام ٢٠٢١ في الذكرى العاشرة لثورات منطقة شمال أفريقيا وغرب أسيا.

لماذا تحديداً ١٨ فاعلية؟ في شهر يناير| كانون الثاني ٢٠١١، احتلت جموع من الشعب المصري ميدان التحرير وسط القاهرة وغيره من الميادين والأماكن العامة في مختلف أنحاء مصر لمدة ١٨ يوماً حتى يسقط نظام مبارك، خرجوا يطالبون بالعيش، والحرية والعدالة الإجتماعية، خلقوا تكتلات سياسية واجتماعية لدعم وتنظيم التظاهر، صنعوا فناً وأدباً، وصدحوا عالياً بحقهم في الأحلام.
